As the rain pours down over her shaking body, time stands still. She can’t determine if the water droplets rolling one right after the other off her eyelashes are from the dark blue sky or from her broken heart. Traveling this road several times she doesn’t understand the unexpected traffic jam that has left her lonely on the side of the highway. As the rest of the world passes the time by exchanging laughs or singing at the top of their lungs, she sits there in silence, listening to nothing but the beat of her heart. With no answers, she pulls off to the side. She allows herself one moment of weakness and finds herself writing THIS. Thinking to herself that it could be the end, she was quickly reminded by the many beautiful butterflies in her sky that traffic jams are only temporary and right through the mountains the rain will stop and happiness can be regained. Salvaging whatever hope she has left, she musters up enough strength to pull through the storm.
